Fees, charges and funded places

From September 2024, Busy Bees Pre-School will be open from 7.30am – 6.00pm each day during term time. Funded hours can be used for sessions within these times, up to a maximum of 10hrs per day.

Fees are payable for all non-funded children or for children who exceed their free-funding allowance.

You will receive notification of the weekly fees due at the start of each term, these should be paid either weekly or half termly in advance.

Extra Charges

Trips

A charge will be made for trips the pre-school take, such as to the theatre or a museum.

School lunches

These can be pre-ordered and paid for via School Gateway.

£2.10 per meal.

3yr old Funding

All children are entitled to 15 hours per week funding from the term after their 3rd birthday. Parents do not need to apply for this.

To authorise your childcare provider to claim 2-year-old disadvantaged funding, where parents are in receipt of some form of government support or the child is in local authority care, or left care, you must have applied through North Yorkshire Council Early years funding for 2 year olds | North Yorkshire Council and show your childcare provider the letter with a 6 digit Voucher Code from NYC confirming your child’s eligibility.

Foster carers, who are employed, in addition to foster care work, may be eligible for Working Family expanded childcare for 9-23 month olds (15 hours) and 3 & 4 year olds (15 hours) – please contact your social worker to discuss how you apply.

In order for Busy Bees to remain financially viable it is necessary to charge for all booked sessions, including any missed through illness.
